The MOON W-7M Power Amplifier is a Mono fully balanced differential design, representing the next generation of MOON high-performance audio components. Producing 500 watts of uncolored high-current output power into 8Ω and 1000 watts into 4Ω, the W-7M will drive virtually any loudspeaker to its maximum capabilities with incredible ease. This achievement is due, in part, to our new proprietary "Lynx" amplification circuit. Further raising the bar, the MOON W-7M can be fully integrated into a custom-install environment via an RS-232 port and 12V trigger. As well, a plethora of user selectable cosmetic options are available at the time of purchase. |
| Significant Design Features: · Full unsolicited RS-232 bidirectional feedback · Lynx circuitry which is a "no overall feedback" design resulting in genuine real-time amplification, a more accurate musical reproduction with respect to tonality, virtually non-existent IMD and the elimination of common phase errors resulting from feedback · Custom proprietary toroidal transformer design with lower magnetic, electrical and thermal loss, yielding an improved power transfer and lower regulation factor. Overseas MOON W-7M RS
The RS series of MOON audio components benefit from an even higher standard of manufacturing process than the regular MOON versions. All significant differences are contained within the circuitry and construction of each model.
RS versions are built using different materials and parts in certain areas. For example, printed circuit boards are of a higher temperature grade than that of the military specification FR-4 material we normally use; Their traces are gold-plated instead of a tin/lead composite. As well, all capacitors use improved dielectric materials.
MOON RS models meet and/or exceed stricter manufacturing processes as required to pass many international safety standards such as those imposed by the E-U, Japan and South Korea. Cosmetically, the ONLY difference is the RS logo on the front panel.
